We are seeking a Statewide Service Manager. The Service Manager position at Louisiana Cat is responsible for directly supervising the shop and field personnel who perform timely and quality service and repair of customer equipment. This position will require relocation to any of our branches within the state of Louisiana. Reporting to the Regional Branch Manager, the Service Manager ensures profitability and service delivery metrics are met through a disciplined management approach.  The Service Manager should meet or exceed customer satisfaction standards as well as Louisiana Cat's initiatives and Caterpillar's standards of excellence.  This position requires a highly organized and focused professional who can prioritize and accomplish a wide variety of duties. 

Service Manager Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and/or exceed key branch performance metrics
  • Maintain the profitability of the service department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Lead technicians to strive for increased productivity, highest quality & positive morale
  • Explain work performed and changes to the customer and/or service representative
  • Support, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff
  • Attract, develop and retain talent for the store
  • Develop processes for the service department to ensure consistent follow ups to create and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Ensure that service repairs are performed efficiently and correctly
  • Manage the service/customer area with proper displays, point of purchase information, comfort and cleanliness
  • Convey information between Sales, Service and Customers efficiently
  • Manage shop schedule to maximize efficiency and pace
  • Conduct daily safety "tool box" talks with all staff to ensure protocols in safety are being followed

Service Manager Qualifications:

  • Ability to relocate to any of our branches within Louisiana
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Ability to communicate well, both written and oral
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
