DESCRIPTION

The Technical Services Analyst role at Louisiana Cat is primarily responsible for being a conduit between our customers and the Product Health Department.  This is a fast-paced, challenging position working in all aspects of our Technical Services and Product Health Department.  The Technical Services Analyst is tasked with fluid analysis sample handling, interpretation and communication of results to customers.  Additionally, this person will assist is other Product Health Department operations.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Gain knowledge about machine and engine technology
  2. Interpret and communicate fluid analysis, equipment inspections, and remote monitoring events and reports to customers and the sales team
  3. Provide product information to customers in coordination with the Service Department
  4. Manage customer contracts ensuring invoicing, collections, and renewals are properly handled
  5. Additional duties and responsibilities as needed by management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills including computing rates, ratios, averages, fractions, and percentages. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

None

REQUIRED TRAVEL

Up to 20%. Travel for week long training classes out of state on average of 2-3 weeks per year.
