Louisiana Cat is currently seeking an Employment Coordinator to join the Human Resources team at the corporate office in Reserve, La. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Employment Coordinator will be focused on staffing, recruiting and special projects but could progress into other areas within the HR department, such as employee training and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all ApplicantPro (Applicant Tracking System) activities associated with open requisitions, such as posting open jobs, managing applicant pools, sourcing and screening of resumes, recommending qualified candidates to managers for interviews, and reviewing pre-screening results.
  • Responsible for the data integrity of ApplicantPro recruiting system associated with the assigned activities, reporting and analysis.
  • Initiate on-boarding process for new employees; provide support to ensure successful completion of all tasks.
  • Assist with new employee orientation.
  • Respond timely and accurately to managers' calls and e-mails regarding all recruiting activities.
  • Assist with development of recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
  • Represent Louisiana Cat at job fairs and other career events as required.
  • Maintain records on recruiting activities as required.
  • Assist with organizational training and development efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2 years of human resource experience in corporate environment preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the flexibility to assist in all areas of the HR Department as needed.
  • Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
